ANCHOR Sober Living Center. A Place to Rebuild. A Path to Independence.
There are moments in life that stay with you.
For me, one of those moments was walking through the doors of The Potter’s House at the Atlanta Mission and meeting men who were trying to put their lives back together.

I spent a year serving as an Assistant Director, and during that time I had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of men in recovery.
I saw men arrive carrying things you couldn't always see.
Addiction.
Shame.
Regret.
Broken relationships.
Lost jobs.
Lost confidence.
And sometimes, the hardest thing of all…
a loss of hope.
But I also got to witness something beautiful.
I watched men begin again.
I watched them take their first steps toward sobriety.
I watched them get up every morning and choose a different life.
I watched them find work.
I watched fathers begin rebuilding relationships with their children.
I watched men who once couldn't see a future begin making plans for one.
I watched confidence return.
I watched purpose return.
And I watched men discover that their mistakes did not have to be the end of their story.
Those experiences changed me.
They made me believe even more deeply that sometimes the difference between giving up and moving forward is having a safe place, a supportive community, and someone willing to believe in you.
That belief eventually became a vision.
And last year, our family took a step of faith.
We purchased our first commercial building in South Georgia.
Not simply as an investment.
But with a bigger purpose in mind.
Today, I'm incredibly excited to share that we are building ANCHOR Sober Living Center.
⚓

ANCHOR will be a safe, structured, and supportive home for men transitioning from treatment into independent living.
But when I think about ANCHOR, I don't think about a building.
I think about the man who will walk through our doors.
Maybe he's 30.
Maybe he's 45.
Maybe he's 60.
Maybe he's a father who desperately wants to repair his relationship with his children.
Maybe he's been given chance after chance and is finally ready to take responsibility for his life.
Maybe he's spent years believing that his best days are behind him.
Maybe he simply needs someone to tell him:
"Your story isn't over."
That's who we're building ANCHOR for.
Because getting sober is incredibly important.
But sobriety is not the finish line.
It's the beginning.
Then comes the hard work of learning how to live again.
How to get up every morning.
How to go to work.
How to pay your bills.
How to save money.
How to keep your commitments.
How to rebuild trust.
How to handle disappointment.
How to make healthy decisions.
How to develop meaningful relationships.
How to serve others.
How to discover what you're good at.
How to find purpose.
How to become the man you were created to be.
That's the work we're here to support.
At ANCHOR, we want to create an environment built around:
⚓ Faith
⚓ Recovery
⚓ Brotherhood
⚓ Discipline
⚓ Employment
⚓ Responsibility
⚓ Purpose
⚓ Independence
Not perfection.
Progress.
Not judgment.
Accountability.
Not simply giving someone a place to stay.
Giving them a place to rebuild.

The name ANCHOR means something to us.
An anchor provides stability when the waters are rough.
But an anchor isn't meant to keep a ship in the harbor forever.
It holds steady until the time comes to move forward.
That's our vision.
We don't want men dependent on ANCHOR.
We want men to become strong enough that they don't need ANCHOR anymore.
We want them to leave with a job.
A plan.
A recovery community.
Healthy relationships.
Financial stability.
Confidence.
Purpose.
And hope.
We want a man to walk out of our doors one day and say:
"I'm ready. I can do this."
And when that happens, we'll know ANCHOR has done what it was created to do.
But here's the thing:
We can't do this alone.
It will take a community.
It will take people willing to open doors.
Employers willing to say, "I'll give you a chance."
Churches willing to say, "We'll walk with you."
Mentors willing to say, "I'll invest in you."
Treatment providers willing to say, "Let's work together."
Families willing to believe that restoration is possible.
And ordinary people willing to say:
"I believe this man's life is worth investing in."
That's where I'm inviting you to join us.
Maybe you work in recovery.
Maybe you're a counselor, pastor, employer, healthcare professional, treatment provider, mentor, or community leader.
Maybe you've personally experienced addiction or watched someone you love struggle with it.
Maybe you have resources.
Maybe you have connections.
Maybe you have time.
Maybe you have a story.
Or maybe you simply believe that people deserve another chance.
We need you.
Because this isn't just about opening a sober-living center.
It's about creating a place where men can begin writing a different chapter.
And when one man changes, something much bigger can happen.
A father comes home.
A marriage can begin to heal.
A child gets his dad back.
A family begins to hope again.
A community becomes stronger.
And a cycle that may have continued for generations can finally be broken.
That's the impact we're praying ANCHOR will have.
I don't know exactly where this journey will take us.
But I know why we're starting.
I know the men I've met who inspired this vision.
And I know that every man deserves the opportunity to discover that his future can be greater than his past.
So today, we're putting a stake in the ground.
We're saying:
Men can rebuild.
Families can be restored.
Lives can change.
Hope is still possible.
And sometimes…
all someone needs is a safe place to begin again.
⚓ ANCHOR Sober Living Center
A place to begin again.
A place to rebuild.
A place to find purpose.
A place to become anchored in hope.
This is just the beginning.
Come join us on the journey.
